We’re here to answer your questions and support your project needs.

Dos Santos Engineering offers specialized engineering services for rigging, reeving, and hoisting systems at industrial facilities. Our licensed professional engineers design the structures, systems, and procedures that allow industrial maintenance and construction teams to execute complex lifts safely and in compliance with applicable codes.

DSE provides engineering — calculations, drawings, analysis, and PE-stamped documentation — for rigging and hoisting projects. We do not perform rigging or hoisting operations. Our engineers may serve in a field advisory capacity on select projects, observing lift operations and providing on-site technical guidance, but physical lift execution is always the responsibility of the client’s qualified rigging personnel and contractors.

Lift Plan Engineering & PE Stamp

  • Engineered lift plans with load path analysis, rigging geometry, sling and hardware sizing, and PE stamp for single lifts or repetitive lift programs
  • Monorail Design — Engineering, structural analysis, and PE-stamped drawings for monorails and overhead material handling systems at industrial facilities
  • Hoist Support Structure Design — Structural engineering for hoist, winch, and crane support structures
  • Wire Rope Reeving Systems — Engineering of reeving configurations for take-up systems at overland conveyors, stackers, reclaimers, and dock equipment
  • Yoke Block and Hoist Winch Engineering — Design and engineering of custom hoisting hardware support structures
  • Remote Take-Up Engineering — Wire rope reeving and structural engineering for horizontal and remote take-up systems on long overland conveyors
  • Staging Structure Design — Temporary and permanent staging and scaffolding structure engineering for boiler work, maintenance access, and equipment changeouts
  • Rigging Advisory Services — Field advisory support during complex rigging operations; DSE engineers may observe and advise but do not perform rigging work

Experience Background:

DSE’s rigging and hoisting engineering expertise has been developed through decades of work supporting power plant maintenance outages, bulk terminal operations, and industrial construction projects throughout North America. Our engineers have designed rigging systems and lift plans for boiler component replacements, heat exchanger changeouts, ductwork modifications, conveyor equipment changeouts, and large yard and dock equipment maintenance at facilities operated by major utilities, terminal operators, and industrial companies.
